5 coins graded, 4 come back with a grade, Pictures added, post #8

At the beginning of the month I sent in 5 coins to NGC for grading. One of them was shot down in flames. I will be sending an email to the Ebay seller. I don't want anything from him but, the satisfaction that he is aware of the fact that the coin he sold me did not grade any where near his description. I called NGC this afternoon because their website still showed my coins to be in quality control (since Wednesday). The girl I talked to was very helpful and told me that my slabs would be sent back to me tomorrow. Oh by the way she said, would you like to know how they graded? Why yes I said, this is what I got.
I'll post some pictures when I get them back. Now, the question remains, I've got one more UHR. Do I tempt fate and go for the proverbial "third time's a charm" or, do I leave well enough alone and be satisfied with what I've got?

PF70 Ultra High Relief, I haven't heard of that before. From what I've heard they are designated MS70PL if they are proof-like?

If they are MS70PL, you made out nice as they sell on eBay for over 4k easily.

Sorry peoples, my mind was going in three different directions :banghead: when I was doing my original post. All fixed now.

Something you might consider doing next time, either for insurance purposes or potential resale is to use their picture services. I believe it runs around $3 per coin, and they do a decent job of taking pictures. It's not the quality like TomD does, but it's sufficient for selling online, posting online, or for archiving for insurance purposes. I did it with my last batch and was pleasently surprised by the quality.

Been there, done that. You are correct, right now it's $3/coin. It's a small price to pay considering my macro photography skills with my digital are very hit and miss (read stinks).

Same here...lol. I have experimented with many different camera settings and lighting combos for raw coins, coins in the 2x2 cardboard flips, and those that are slabbed. I still can't get the picture quality that I want, and that is the main thing keeping me from trying to sell numismatics online.

Not only MS-70's, but consecutive cert # MS-70's. Love the 'no motto' too, my favorite Saint.
